We leave this morning on what promises to be Tainui’s last ocean passage for a while. Over the last twelve years she has visited 51 countries. She has served us well and has never complained.
Bad weather is forecast for the NSW coast and keeping north of that may have us making our landfall in Brisbane. That will be a week away though, and anything can happen between now and then. Anyway, for the next few days we expect good close fetch sailing in SSE winds of 20 knots. Tainui just loves that. With Jochen at the helm we slid past Amedee lighthouse and out to sea.
