Oh, and there’s a minor birthday postscript – as an added celebration of this new decade of mine, I have just put down a deposit on a new yacht! She is a pretty a little Rival 34, located in Belfast.
Called Blue Dove, she is old but well refurbished, with air draft which will allow free access to Russia’s inland waterways under sail. More details to follow.
