Beautiful Puerto Santo Domingo. All alone in this wide flat bay, Machu Pichu peaks, constantly changing light and rushing waterfalls all around. And the usual glacier (ho hum) appearing only intermittently through the clouds. As in Nepal, you have to remember to look up higher than usual. A lay day poking around on the black sand beach, exploring abandoned huts and wrecked boats. Puttered up Rio Cumbre but we couldn’t reach the lago, what with bajamar and all.
