A Bone in her Teeth

With a bone in her teeth Tainui roared down the coast from Camden Haven in 35 knots of wind. Maxine was overjoyed and even the elderly skipper was a bit chuffed. A 9 knot average speed saw us in Pittwater the next morning, greeted off Lion Island by yet more humpback whales, blue skies and sparkling seas. After 11 years Tainui is nearly home.

Ian and his kids joined us for the trip down from Brooklyn to Sydney Harbour. Judy had provisioned superbly and Anna, bless her heart, took photos from North Head of our grand entry into Sydney. Tied up at RANSA, Tainui’s the day was capped off with a cocktail party.
